You Don’t Have to Feelz

Recommended Read:

There are few things you read, hear, and see that changes your life. Those moments where my world just gets absolutely rocked and nothing feels the same from that point. The Power of Habit didn’t change my life in that way. Instead, it planted small seeds to organically and progressively make changes. Actually, I didn’t see the tidal wave effect coming whatsoever. It’s like the David Blaine of books.

I recommended most people I meet to read this simply to have a better skill at observing your own daily behaviors. We absolutely suck at knowing what we don’t know. I mean, in all fairness, how can you change something you aren’t even aware of? This Fortis Philosophy episode was motivated from what I learned from Charles Duhigg, the author of this book.  I analyzed so many of the shortcomings I had with being an athlete. Thinking the cause was external, but in reality I realized they were a programmed automatic habit. Bad habits at that. Subconscious underlying behaviors that I have no idea even existed. And you can not change them unless something or someone makes you aware.

Things may be going well regardless of you, “feeling” it working or not. Don’t be crazy like me and self-sabotage just bc you don’t feel tangible feedback tied to your efforts.
